Example of a letter informing client of incorrect payment

GUIDELINES

  1. This letter may be short. However, this tells your client about the mistakes and recommends a way on how he or she can correct it. Take note, your client probably made an honest mistake. With this, you must send the letter as thinking it was the case.
  2. Ask the client to correct the incorrect payment she or she sent.
  3. Propose another way for him or her to correct the error.
  4. Introduce additional service.

If there has been some misunderstanding or mistake with the amount that I received, please give me a call immediately so I can get in touch with the bank. I appreciate your prompt handling of this matter. Thank you.
