Dear [Recipients Name],

I feel terrible about the damage my elder brother did to your glass door. Mohan has delivered newsletters for three years, and this is perhaps the first incident of breakage that has occurred. He feels terrible about this, and though he cannot undo his work, he would like to compensate by paying for the repair cost. You have been an excellent customer for Mohan, and he would want to serve you in the coming future.

Sincerely,
